Harth-Bedoya will present an overview of the essential skills that conductors need to be an efficient and inspiring leader from the podium, and how to transfer those skills into effective rehearsals and performances. Aural skills, score reading skills, understanding of instrumentation, knowledge of the music, and conducting mechanics should be connected and integrated to assure that the conductor can efficiently achieve musical excellence through productive rehearsals and powerful performances.
