Christi Powell

Christi Powell is the director of choirs at Charlene McKinzey Middle School in Mansfield ISD. She received her bachelor’s degree in Music Education from the University of Texas at Arlington and just completed her 25th year in teaching. Mrs. Powell taught elementary music for 14 years, followed by 9 years of intermediate choir. While at Mary Orr Intermediate, her 6th grade choirs were invited to perform at TMEA in 2016 and 2020. She has presented clinics at TMEA, TCDA, and Region 19. Mrs. Powell is honored to present again at this year’s TCDA convention.
