Heidi Bargsley has a BA in Music from Texas Woman’s University, she currently teaches 5th and 6th grade general music and choir is Azle ISD as well as voice lessons from home; she is TMEA Region 30 Elementary Chair and Executive Artistic Director for the non-profit organization The Children’s Honor Choir.
Heidi Bargsley started her music journey as a high school student in Keller ISD. After graduating from Keller she went to Texas Woman’s University where she graduated with a Music Education Degree in 2005. She then spent 3 wonderful years Grapevine Middle School teaching private voice lessons before teaching full-time in Keller ISD as an Elementary Music Teacher for 5 years. Upon the arrival of her first child she resigned from full-time instruction and returned to private voice teaching in GCISD, Keller and FWISD for 7 years. Although she still teaches voice lessons at her house she went back to full-time teaching where she is presently at Hoover Elementary in Azle ISD teaching 5th and 6th grade music, as well as choir.
Heidi Bargsley currently holds the position of Texas Music Educators Elementary Region Chair for Region 30 and is also the Executive Artistic Director of the non-profit organization The Children’s Honor Choir; which has given her the opportunity to work with students from many districts and help provide professional development for the North Texas area teachers.
When she is not teaching music she enjoys spending time with her husband Alex and her children Jack and Aline. She has loved music her entire life and hopes that her students will leave her classroom with an appreciation and passion for singing and performing throughout their lives.
