Neena Taylor is a graduate of the University of Texas-Pan American with a Bachelor of Arts in Voice. She has done post-graduate work in voice and conducting at the University of Houston. During the 24 years that she taught at Jersey Village High School, her choirs received consistent Sweepstakes awards at Concert and Sight-reading Contest and Best in Class at state festivals.
Taylor has presented three workshops at the Texas Choral Directors Convention and conducted numerous Region Clinics in the state. The Jersey Village Varsity Women under her direction performed at the 2003 Texas Music Educators Association Convention. She has been active in the community as a director of church choirs, singing with the Houston Symphony, the former professional Concert Chorale of Houston, and the Houston Chamber Choir. Neena is in demand as a private voice instructor. She is a former staff singer with First United Methodist Church in Houston and is now pianist at Heritage Presbyterian.
Taylor's professional affiliations include TCDA, ACDA, TMAA and TMEA.
