Daniel Jose Gonzalez Arredondo II serves as the Director of Choral Activities at Del Mar College and received his doctor of musical art in choral conducting at the Univeristy of Texas at Austin. Dr. Arredondo attended Westminster Choir College and earned his undergraduate degree in music education with a minor in dance and later attended Texas State University to earn his master’s degree in choral conducting. Expanding his education in a global respect, he traveled to Hungary to study at the Kodály Institute in Kecscemét and holds his all-level Kodály Certification. During summer session, he has served as an adjunct professor at Capital University and Texas State University teaching courses in pedagogy, choral literature, and conducting. As an adjudicator, Dr. Arredondo serves as a TMAA member for UIL contests across the state. He continues to present, consult, and serve as clinician, at the regional, state, and international levels for various music conferences, organizations, and school districts. As a vocation to promote diversity, equity and inclusion, he serves as artistic director for the Austin Gay Men's Chorus and were featured at the American Choral Directors Association’s National Convention.
