Joe Estala Is currently the Coordinator of Choral and Elementary Programs for San Antonio ISD. He holds a Bachelors Degree in Music Educattion from the University of Texas at El Paso and a Master's Degree in Education Administration fom the Universtiy of North Texas. He was a choir director in El Paso TX for 21 years where his choirs received sweepstakes honors and won 1st place in national competitions. His Students received outstanding soloist awards at state solo and ensemble and have received numerous scholarships to universities and conservatories throughout the United States. In 2021 he was asked to serve as the Texas Music Educators Association (TMEA) Area Chair and served as assistant conductor for the El Paso Choral Society. He has been a clinician for TMEA performing groups and has given workshops for different school districts throughout Texas. He was chorus master for El Paso Opera and was assistant conductor for the El Paso Choral Society. As a soloist he has performed various solos for operatic productions and oratorios with El Paso Opera, El Paso Symphony Orchestra, El Paso Choral Society, and Opera San Antonio. He has performed throughout the United States, Mexico, and Europe. As a music director he has collaborated with Grammy Award winning artists, national opera singers, conductors, and Pulitzer Prize nominated composers. He served as the TMEA Region 22 Vocal chair, 2011 Texas All State Choir tenor section leader, and as a board member for the El Paso Choral Society.
