Michael Groff is an educator and church musician, based in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. He is currently the Lower School Music and Movement teacher at Greenhill School in Addison, TX. There, he has been recognized by peers and stakeholders for his student-led approach to performance and strong recruitment strategies. Prior to his appointment at Greenhill School, he spent five years as the Associate Director of Music at Preston Hollow Presbyterian Church where he led a vibrant children’s music program. He has also presented and published on a variety of topics concerning parent communication, movement in children’s choirs, peer collaboration, and music education within the context of Christian programming. Groff holds an MM in Organ Performance from Baylor University and a BM in Music Education (Voice & Organ) from Susquehanna University. He also holds professional licenses as a certified EC-12 Music teacher, Musikgarten teacher, and Orff Schulwerk teacher.
