Tammy Stallcup served as a small church music/choral director periodically for nearly 15 years in Odessa at St. Luke’s United Methodist Church and Westminster Presbyterian Church before moving to Ft. Worth 4 years ago. She has just completed her 36th year teaching middle school and jr. high choirs and currently teaches at Highland Middle School in Eagle Mountain-Saginaw ISD and is going back for more. She says that her church choir members have been slightly more well-behaved than her middle school students- slightly, but she never had to assign a detention at church. Mrs. Stallcup is married to Kent, is mother to adult children- Holly, Amanda and Schuyler and “Lolli” to 3-year-old, Juniper Sol and dog mom to Topanga and Shep. In her free time, Her two favorite aspects of leading a church choir have been integrating college and high school students into the choir and seeing how they have been embraced by the church as the Body of Christ and being able to use music as a tool to enhance the message to create a cohesive worship experience.
