Dr. Sam H. Flippin is an Assistant Professor of Music Education at Texas State University in San Marcos. He taught eleven years in Texas public schools, leading successful orchestra programs in the Houston and North Texas areas. Sam earned his PhD in Music Education at The University of North Texas, and taught five years at Texas Woman's University as an adjunct instructor and Director of Orchestras. His experience(s) with community orchestras, amateur musicians, and countless family members who make music for the joy of music inspired his interest in lifelong musicianship.
