Awaken Ensemble is a chamber choir primarily composed of music professionals from all around the DFW area. We have music educators from all levels of education (elementary-high school), private lesson instructors, music therapists, as well as music majors from local universities. The choir started in 2017 when Sean Hale gathered a group of friends for a benefit concert at First UMC Arlington. That concert was so fun and successful that we decided to do it again a year later. In 2019, we formalized as a nonprofit and became Awaken Ensemble. Most of Awaken's concerts feature a community service organization and the music selected for each concert revolves around themes from the work that partner organization does in our community. Awaken Ensemble uses the intrinsic power of music to awaken the inherent good of the human spirit.
