Patti Vandiver Freeman is a retired Choir Director living in Denton, Texas.
Patti was born and raised in Searcy, Arkansas where she developed a lifelong love of music. She was blessed to have many outstanding music teachers in her schools and home church, FBC Searcy. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Music Education from Ouachita Baptist University.
In 1990, Mrs. Freeman began her music teaching career opening Westside Elementary in Searcy. Her family moved to Texas in 1994 where she enjoyed a very successful career as choral director. She taught over 25 years in middle school and high school settings including Texoma Christian School, Denison, Birdville, Denton and Lewisville ISDs.
Mrs. Freeman is honored to have worked with many wonderful students and amazing choir directors across Texas! Her positions have included head MS director, asst. HS choral director, AP music theory instructor, IB music teacher, clinician, accompanist, UIL judge and private instructor.
Patti is now teaching privately and accompanying at churches and schools in Denton County and is loving her retirement life! She and husband, Carl, host a BnB in Sanger and enjoy lots of quality time with grandchildren, extended family and friends.
