Kelly Pfaffenberger has been a choral music educator in Texas for thirty years, serving middle school, high school, church and college musicians. She is currently the head choral director at Creekview High School in Carrollton/Farmers Branch ISD. During her tenure at Creekview, the A Cappel la Women's Chorus was chosen as a featured choir for the Southwestern Division Convention of ACDA. In 2009, Mrs. Pfaffenberger joined the artistic staff of CCGD, where she was the principal conductor of the Women's Youth Chorus from 2009-2022.
Mrs. Pfaffenberger has served as an adjunct professor in the music education department of SMU and as adjunct professor and choir director for Dallas Christian College. Currently, she also serves as Director of Music Ministries for First Baptist Church, Farmers Branch, TX. She is an active adjudicator and clinician for area choirs and enjoys the opportunity to be a collaborative pianist with the wonderful choirs and musicians in the metroplex area.
Mrs. Pfaffenberger earned the Bachelor of Music Education from
Hardin-Simmons University and a Master of Music in choral conducting from the University of North Texas. During her studies at UNT, she served as the director of the UNT Men's Choir and the UNT Women's Chorus. Her professional affiliations include: Texas Music Educators Association, American Choral Directors Association, and Texas Choral Directors Association.
