Whether you’re an experienced singer/conductor, or new to voice study, you will benefit from this session on the "Basics of Singing" in a unique approach to group voice instruction. Many singers in choirs have common singing issues (such as problems singing high notes or long phrases) and we will discuss how to deal with them in a choral rehearsal. When a conductor is addressing vocal technique in a group setting it's important to speak to those issues in a way that isn't confusing, or too specific, to individuals. Technique, vocal health, and aging voices will be de-mystified in this session that was inspired over many years of working with students and choirs of varying ages and backgrounds.
